Desert Rhino Camp
, also known as Palmwag Rhino Camp, is located in the Damaraland North area in the Northwest region of Namibia.

This lodge is one of our absolute favourites in the country. Set in the remarkable and atmospheric red-rock landscapes of the enormous Palmwag Conservancy, it provides access to some very rare black rhinos, plus decent general wildlife viewing, potentially including elephants and lions. The camp is pleasantly simple and attracts a really nice mix of more outdoorsy and experienced safari guests.

The main potential downsides are the high prices, the subtle nature of the safari, the potentially arduous nature of the activities and the relative simplicity of the camp. Most of the negative reviews of the place come from people who clearly did not have a sufficient understanding of what is on offer here. It is certainly not for everyone.
