East of the Cape
is the area of the Western Cape region that runs east from Cape Town for around 500km along the coast to the start of the Eastern Cape in South Africa.

It is an incredibly diverse and beautiful area with wonderful broad beaches backed by enormous sand dunes, fascinating nature reserves, historic towns, remote Karoo farmsteads and small vineyards.

It is also a relatively civilised part of the Africa, a place where one can travel freely and expect to stay in high quality accommodation at every stop.
