Eningu Clayhouse Lodge
is located in the Windhoek
area in the Southeast
region of Namibia
Actually set quite a long way out, some 70km southwest of the international airport, this lodge is pleasantly remote, the final approach being on dirt roads through ranch land.
This is one of the most characterful lodges in the country, with a distinctly Mexican flavour of orange adobe and cactus. Stylish public areas lead out onto a lovely pool area, with guest rooms gathered around the open courtyard and strung to the west.
The German owner, Bettina, is lovely, as are her staff, giving the place a really homely atmosphere, whilst the food is really top class.
There are some short marked trails around the farm and it is also possible to visit the nearby Arnhem Cave, but for most people Eningu Clayhouse Lodge is about relaxation at the front or end of a trip. Best May to November before the nights get too sticky.SeasonsPrices
