Fort Sesfontein Lodge
is located in the Damaraland North area in the Northwest region of Namibia.

One of the most characterful lodges in the country, this place has been created out of the sensitive reconstruction of an old German frontier fort.

Scrappy village signs and petrol pumps screen the place from the main road, but once through the entrance into the palm-lined courtyard the it feels really magical. Simple guest rooms line the courtyard, the restaurant is in the old officers' mess, whilst a very nice pool occupies the far end of the quadrangle.

The lodge offers guided safaris into the wild country beyond, north to Himba villages and west along the Hoanib River in search of desert elephant.
