Four Seasons Serengeti Safari Lodge

...

... previously known as Kempinski Bilila Lodge, is located in the Central sector of the Serengeti in Northern Tanzania.

This high specification permanent lodge is set in a relatively quiet location in Central Serengeti. It offers high levels of conventional comforts and an exceptionally wide range of facilities . It is therefore best suited to less outdoorsy guests.

Activities are centred on vehicle safari, with the area offering very solid wildlife viewing year round, notably with incredible predator sightings, especially Jul/Oct. The migration usually passes through May/Jun and Nov/Dec. It is also possible to do balloon safari from this location.

The main potential downsides are various environmental concerns and the fact that this is much more of a hotel than a safari lodge, being very large in size, with a total of 74 guest rooms. This is most definitely not the classic Serengeti tented camp experience and is inherently low on safari authenticity. The lodge also has a very high list price, although discounts may be available. The lodge is open to vehicles from all safari companies. The area can experience very high visitor traffic in this central area and activities are largely limited to daytime vehicle safari.
