is located in the Graaff-Reinet
area of the Eastern Cape
region of South Africa
Situated in a remote valley close to the arty settlement of Nieu Bethesda, this place really is a classic Karoo farm-stay in a stunning rural setting.
Accommodation is in a range of pleasantly converted farm buildings and can be either self-catering or with wonderful home-cooked meals provided. The lodge is owner-hosted and set on a fully working farm.
Activities in the area include fossil lectures and walks, mountain hiking, Bushman rock-art walks, sheep shearing, a meerkat rehabilitation project, hiking, mountain-biking and visiting Nieu Bethesda.
Ganora Farm is one of our favourite farm-stays in the whole country ... wonderfully remote, authentic, beautifully presented, fantastically hosted and with so much to do. If you are even remotely interested in fossils, then it really is worth considering. Easily worth three nights.
