Ghaub Guest Farm
is located in the Grootfontein Triangle
area in the Northeast
region of Namibia
The Grootfontein Triangle is an upland area of unusually well-watered and fertile landscapes by comparison with the otherwise largely flat plains which surround it on all sides and defined by the three towns of Grootfontein, Otavi and Tsumeb.
Set on a 120 square kilometre private area in the mountains of the Triangle, around 20km south of Grootfontein, Ghaub Guest Farm is a simple but pleasant place, the most characterful option in the area.
The lodge is centred on an an 1895 mission station with modest lounge and dining areas, leading out to large gardens and a swimming pool.
Guest accommodation is in just a handful of large but relatively spartan rooms.
Activities include hiking, horse-riding, modest vehicle safari and some excellent and rather raw caving.
