Gol Mountains Bivouac
is located in the Southeast Sector
of the Serengeti
in Northern Tanzania
This light mobile safari camp can be set out in this remote location to the southeast of the Serengeti, an area of very low visitor traffic. The main migration is often in the area Nov/Mar so wildlife viewing can be excellent. At other times, Jun/Oct, it is more of remote semi-desert experience. It is a simple camp, with dome tents, designed for the exclusive use of a single group. It inherently provides an intimate camp atmosphere and an authentic bush experience, often with animals often passing through camp.
Activities are centred on vehicle safari by day and night, with off-road driving permitted out here, plus walking, hiking and Maasai interaction.
The main potential downsides are that the facilities may be too simple for some and that wildlife can be very thin on the ground during the dry season and even sometimes during the main migration season.UpsidesDownsidesSeasonsPricesTrips
