Gomo Gomo Game Lodge
is located in the Klaserie Reserve
in the Kruger Private Reserves
area in the Northeast
of South Africa
+ overlooking a scenic dam
+ large private reserve
+ important conservation project
+ no fences between here and the main Kruger National Park
+ full range of wildlife
+ walking safari
Set to the south of the reserve, this brick-built lodge has large and rather heavy public areas, leading out to a pool deck overlooking a large man-made dam. Guest accommodation is in 24 similarly unattractive two and four room chalets.
Activities are centred around vehicle and walking safari. There are no fences between here and the main reserve, ensuring that Klaserie is part of the main Kruger ecosystem.
- partially fenced reserve
- proximity to human habitation
- fenced accommodation
- unappealing clunky brick build
- reclaimed farmland
- reasonably expensive
- high visitor traffic
- no private vehicle
Gomo Gomo Game Lodge may be in a reasonable location, but is rather large and architecturally unattractive. On the plus side, it is relatively low cost.
