...

... is located in the Panorama South area of the Northeast region in South Africa.

This is a very busy safari hub set on the Lowveld between the Mpumalanga Drakensburg and the southern part of Kruger.

The east of this area is generally quite unattractive, with a plethora of informal shanty settlements fringing the edges of Kruger. Lodges on this side are generally more mainstream and of much lower quality, being largely focussed on offering low-cost low-quality day trips into the park.

To the west of town the landscape is much more attractive, with mango farms and vineyards ranged across the lower slopes of the Mpumulanga Drakensberg mountains. The lodges in this area tend to be much more focussed on the attractions of their own immediate area, including walking, mountain bike and quad-bike trails, river rafting, canopy zip lines, rural restaurants etc.

Timamoon Lodge ... is one of the best high-end options in the area, discreetly tucked away in the forests to the west.

Summerfields Lodge ... is another high class option, best known for its rose farm and restaurant, but also with some nice accommodation.

Tanamera Lodge ... is a nice mid-range option, also tucked away in the mountain forests to the west.

Highgrove House ... is a more traditional lodge, but also hidden away amongst the mountainous rural estates to the southwest of the town.

Plumbago Guest House ... is a decent mid-range option set close to the main road to the south of town.

Rissington Inn ... is an old favourite, another good mid-range option just to the south of town.
