High Nile Camp
is located in the town of Jinja in eastern Uganda.

This lodge is situated just upstream of the Bujagali hydro-electric station, around 5km north of the town.

It is actually under the same ownership as the upmarket Wildwaters Lodge, much further downstream, both of which are associated with premium raft operator Adrift.

It caters for their budget-focussed clients, with accommodation in simple wooden cottages, around an often lively bar and restaurant with broad views of the river.

Most visitors are here for the white-water rafting, which can vary from gentle family trips to hardcore adventures. It is also possible to go out on a jet-boat and the original boat from the 1951 movie The African Queen.

High Nile Camp is perhaps the best option for budget travellers in search of a cheap bed but good quality rafting.
