Ishasha Wilderness Camp
is located in the Queen Elizabeth National Park
area of western Uganda
In a pretty riverside situation in the southern Ishasha Sector of the reserve, this relatively upmarket tented camp has small but nicely appointed public areas under thatch and ten large and comfortable tented rooms with bucket showers.
Activities in the area are centred on vehicle safari in the immediate area. There's plenty of kob and topi, whilst elephant, leopard and lion are present but more elusive. Short walks may also be possible, notably downstream to a busy hippo pool.
Ishasha Wilderness Camp is a rare thing in Uganda ... an authentic safari camp with a suitable sense of actually being in the heart of the wilderness. The majority of guest reviews are favourable, most of the negatives relating to the relatively high price ... although it is actually relatively cheap by the standards of most safari countries.Prices
