Jongomero Camp
is located in the Ruaha area in the southern region of Tanzania.

It is a very high quality permanent lodge in a very remote location in southwestern Ruaha, one of the finest reserves in Africa. It offers some of the most comfortable accommodation in the reserve, with just eight guest rooms, a lovely swimming pool and some very high quality safari guiding. The lodge is relatively easy to access by air. Activities include vehicle safari and walking safari. Wildlife viewing is reasonably strong during the Jun/Nov dry season, whilst the reserve remains a beautiful place to visit during the converse Dec/Mar green season.

The main potential downsides at Jongomero Camp are that it is relatively highly priced and really does need to be combined with another Ruaha lodge if you are to see the park properly due to its remote position. The areas available for game-viewing are also relatively limited and guests are often asked to share safari vehicles. The reserve can get very hot during the dry season and tsetse flies can be a particular nuisance in much of the area around camp.
