, previously known as Plantation Club
, is located in the Seychelles
The Seychelles is a group of islands in the Indian Ocean around 2000km from the coast of Kenya. Mahe is the main island in the group and home to the international airport.
Set on the Pointe Lazare Peninsular in the remote and beautiful southwest corner of the island, Kempinski Seychelles is a very large but relatively well priced mid-range resort.
The resort is centred on a large main building with extensive bar, lounge and dining areas, leading out to a large swimming pool and very nice beachfront with a further bar. There is also a gym, spa, tennis and kiddie club.
Guest accommodation is in a remarkable 200 rooms, arranged in eight large blocks at the back of the beach and around a large lake.
Activities include swimming, tennis, kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, diving and snorkelling. Day trips around the island are also possible.
The main potential downsides at Kempinski Seychelles are the busy nature of other parts of the island, the very large size of the property, the slightly corporate feel of the place and the slight potential for adverse weather Nov/Apr.
