Khwai Tented Camp
is located in the Okavango Khwai River area of the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana.

It is a comfortable permanent tented option, well situated alongside a small seasonal lagoon. The wildlife viewing here can be very strong during the Jun/Oct dry season, with a special reputation for elephants, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas and wild-dogs. The camp itself offers a high quality and authentic safari experience at a relatively low price.

The main potential downsides at Khwai Tented Camp are the relatively simple build of the place, the fact that you are likely to encounter significant vehicle traffic whilst out on safari, with vehicle clusters on major sightings, which considerably reduces any sense of wilderness. There is also likely to be much weaker wildlife viewing during the Nov/Apr green season and the potential for flood failure some years.
