is located in the Northern Sector
of the Serengeti
in Northern Tanzania
It is a very high specification permanent lodge in a lovely elevated position in a large private concession adjoining Serengeti North. It is one of the oldest and best known lodges in the region, extremely comfortable and stylish, with a lovely lounge, modest swimming pool and ten cosy guest cottages. It is a 'closed camp' which means that it does not accept vehicles from other safari operators, which can make for a more intimate atmosphere. Guests can expect elegant hosting and excellent guiding.
An unusually broad range of activities includes vehicle safari by day and night, walking safari and cultural interaction. The area offers reasonably solid game-viewing year round, with the main migration usually passing through Jun/Jul and Oct/Nov.
The main potential downsides at Klein's Camp are very high prices and the fact that guests are often asked to share safari vehicles. The concession area around the lodge is no necessarily the most productive for wildlife, which can mean repeated drives back and forth to the Lobo area inside the main reserve.UpsidesDownsidesSeasonsPricesTrips
