Kruger Park North
is located in the Kruger National Park
in the Northeast
region of South Africa
The northern sector of Kruger National Park
is much more remote and little visited than other parts of the reserve. Landscapes are more arid and largely covered by mopane woodland, with generally lower wildlife densities and visibility.
The great exception is the far north, where an impressive range of hills towers over the Luvuvhu River valley and fronts up to the great grey-green greasy Limpopo River, the border with Zimbabwe. These hills are also superb for hiking and there are remote stone-age sites which can be visited along the way.
The parks facilities further north are more of the same, but are generally less busy than those further south.SeasonsTrips
