Kuname Manor House
is located in the Karongwe Reserve
in the Kruger Private Reserves
area in the Northeast
of South Africa
+ large private reserve
+ important conservation project
+ full range of wildlife
+ very luxurious lodge
+ private home-stay
+ highly professional owners
+ possible to avoid visitor traffic
+ excellent staff service
+ cheetah tracking on foot
Sharing the same location as Kuname River Lodge
, alongside the seasonal Makhutswi River to the south of the reserve, this rather stylish house offers a private safari experience for groups of up to six guests in three bedrooms. Private dining and private safari vehicle are included.
Activities are centred on vehicle safari and walking safari within the reserve.
- fenced reserve
- proximity to human habitation
- proximity to other accommodation
- only accessible from the main R40 road
- reclaimed farmland
- not particularly wild
- reasonably expensive
- high visitor traffic
- no private vehicle
On the downside, this is a fenced reserve and right on the western periphery of the Kruger area, which some guests may find subtracts somewhat from the sense of wilderness.
Kuname Manor House is far higher quality than its price implies, a really decent option which is able to deliver a pretty good safari experience.
