http://server5/kwandwe-ecca-lodge/guide/overview/
+ large private reserve
+ important conservation project
+ original farmstead property
+ stunning landscapes
+ full range of wildlife
+ very high quality lodge
+ unfenced property
+ good range of activities
+ malaria free

Set close to the river to the north-east of the 20,000 hectare Kwandwe Reserve, this place is a fun blend of old farmstead and chic modern lodge, with four guest rooms and only available in its entirety to private groups of up to eight guests.

Activities are centred on vehicle safaris by day and night, supplemented by gentle walking safaris, with a full range of wildlife being present. Plus fishing, picnics and historical excursions.

- fenced reserve
- proximity to human habitation
- reclaimed farmland
- rather tame and over-managed
- unattractive lodge build
- low visitor traffic
- relatively expensive

Kwandwe Melton Manor is a very high-end option, wonderfully presented and hosted, in one of the very best non-malarial safari areas in Africa. It also manages to generate extremely good guests reviews.
