KwaZulu Natal
is a province of South Africa.

This is a truly remarkable region, a place of such stunning variety that it could keep a traveller busy for weeks.

We sub-divide KZN into four very distinct areas ...

Natal Northeast ... covers the sub-tropical coast that runs from Durban up to the border with Mozambique, whose highlights include some excellent wildlife reserves and gorgeous remote beach lodges.

Drakensberg ... is an impressive range of mountains, centred on the enormous and dramatic escarpment which marks the eastern border of Lesotho, with great opportunities for hiking and other rural activities.

Natal Central ... features the historic battlefield lodges of the Zulu highlands, as well as sedate historic country houses down in the Midlands, where the scenery is reminiscent of England in an extraordinary summer.

Durban Coast ... contains the city of Durban itself, a substantial coastal conurbation and the main transport hub for the region. The coastline either side contains substantial residential suburbs of generally little interest to the international visitor.
