is located in the Okavango Jao Flats
area of the Okavango Delta
in northern Botswana
It has, for many years, been one of our absolute favourites. It is an exceedingly pretty camp which tends to have an unusually easy-going atmosphere and has great access to the key wildlife areas. During past visits we have particularly enjoyed watching the baboons try to use the outside showers, some of them can even differentiate the hot and cold taps, although tend to eat the soap rather than wash with it. During the flood season in May/Aug we have also really enjoyed night safaris here, with lions trying to hunt the enormous herds of lechwes in the shallow waters ... something that requires a totally different technique based on the various splash sounds, something we have not experience anywhere else.
Our main criticism at Kwetsani Camp is that the safari activities can be a little too gentle, so if you are up for something a little more hardcore you may have to encourage the guides to go beyond their usual routine.UpsidesActivitiesDiningDownsidesSeasonsPricesTrips
