Lake Albert Lodge
is located in the Murchison Falls
area of western Uganda
This place is remotely situated in the little visited Kabwoya Reserve half way down the eastern shore of the lake.
It is a really pleasant little place, with nice public areas including a small pool and around fifteen stone and thatch rooms.
Activities in the area include scenic drives and walks in the immediate area, horse-riding, quad-biking, mountain-biking, fossil hunting and bush dinners. Wildlife in the area is modest.
Lake Albert Lodge appears to be an obvious stopover between Kibale Forest and Murchison Falls, but in reality the route down the lake necessitates an extra day of travel compared with the main road.
As a result the lodge seems to mainly cater to expats looking for an unusual weekend escape from Kampala.
