Lake Masek Tented Camp
is located in the Southwest Sector
of the Serengeti
in Northern Tanzania
It is a medium specification permanent tented lodge set in the important Ndutu area and is open year round, with the main migration often being in the area Nov/Apr. The lodge offers a relatively high level of conventional comforts, especially compared with the mobile tented camps which are so numerous in this area during the migration season.
Activities are centred on daytime vehicle safari, with off-road driving permitted. Some limited walking safari may also be possible.
The main potential downsides at Lake Masek Tented Camp are that it is relatively large, with twenty guest tents. The camp is also open to vehicles from other safari companies, which can reduce the sense of intimacy. There is also the potential for very high visitor traffic and adverse weather conditions during the main migration season.UpsidesDownsidesSeasonsPricesTrips
