Le Duc de Praslin
is located in the Seychelles
The Seychelles is a group of islands in the Indian Ocean around 2000km from the coast of Kenya. Praslin is the second largest island in the group, situated 40km northeast of the international airport on Mahe.
Set in the popular Cote d'Or area to the northeast of the island, Le Duc de Praslin is a modest but relatively pleasant and well priced little resort.
The hotel is centred on on a main building with bar, lounge and dining areas, leading out to a central swimming pool. The owners also have the Café Des Arts down on the beach.
Guest accommodation is in 27 rooms, most in various two storey blocks, plus some larger family suites with private swimming pools.
Activities include swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, diving and snorkelling. Day trips around the island are also possible.
The main potential downsides at Le Duc de Praslin are the position back from the ocean, the tight plot, the rather dated design, the lack of facilities and the slight potential for adverse weather Nov/Apr.
