Lentorre Lodge

... previously known as Olaikar Camp, is located in the Lake Magadi and Loita Hills area of Southwest Kenya.

Situated on the lower slopes of the Nguruman Escarpment just to the north of the Shompole Conservancy, this small and relatively upmarket lodge was under construction when we took these photos back in November 2013.

The main reason to stay is because it lies at the end of the multiple day trek known as Loita Trail 4, which leads here from the Maasai Mara.

Activities include vehicle safari, walking safari, cultural interaction and visits to Lake Magadi itself.

Lentorre Lodge is our usual default choice in this area, a good place to rest for a couple of nights at the end of the aforementioned trail before heading back into Nairobi.
