Lesotho Central
is a region of Lesotho in South Africa.

There are two main roads through this mountainous Central area of Lesotho ...

The A3 traverses the country from the capital Maseru in the west to the Sani Pass descent into the Drakensberg South area of central KwaZulu Natal in the southeast. This is a common traversing route through scenic mountain passes, perhaps the most interesting sights being the two giant dams at Katse and Mohale.

The A5 branches to the northwest and heads diagonally through the area on a one way road to the village of Semonkong.

The reason to head down this route is to get to some attractive hiking, trekking and mountain-biking areas, although there are perhaps better lodge options in the Maseru South area for these activities.
