Lewa Sirikoi Camp
is located on the Lewa Downs
area in the Northern Region
The Lewa Downs Conservancy
is a large private reserve which is an important and pioneering conservation project. The area contains some very pretty landscapes and a full range of wildlife.
Lewa Sirikoi Camp offers very high quality accommodation, set amongst acacia tortilis woodland by a natural spring. The place has the distinct atmosphere of a colonial style homestead, with comfortable furnishings, copious flower arrangements and family photos in silver frames. Guest accommodation for the camp is in four substantial tented suites and two separate houses for private groups.
Activities include vehicle safari, walking safari, horse-back safari, camel safari, scenic flights and cultural interaction. For the vehicle safari, the camp tries to provide private vehicles for every group of guests.
The main potential downsides are that being a fenced lodge on a fenced reserve can make the experience feel rather tame and over-managed. The lodge itself is very expensive and does feel a little more like a family home-stay than a true safari camp.UpsidesPricesTrips
