Mara Bush Camp
is located in the Mara Confluence
sector of the Maasai Mara
in Southwest Kenya
Set amongst woodland on the banks of a small tributary of the Talek River and close to Ol Kiombo airstrip, this camp has pleasant and reasonably well-appointed canvas public areas. The twelve guests tents have inside bathrooms and four-poster beds.
The camp tends to have an unusually high ratio of German-speaking guests and focusses heavily on photographers, who often visit as part of a group safari by road around the country.
The woodland setting is a little claustrophobic and the proximity of the airstrip is a slight negative.
But the only significant downside is that this is a relatively high traffic area in high season.
Mara Bush Camp is somewhere with which we do not have a great deal of personal experience, but the staff are friendly and professional, the place appears to be efficiently run and the guest book reads well.
