Mara River Post
is located in the Mara sector of the Serengeti in Northern Tanzania.

Set on a prominent hill alongside the Mara River in the very peaceful southwest part of the Serengeti Mara area.

The first phase of camp build will include an open-sided main building with lounge and dining areas, leading out to a camp-fire area. Guest accommodation is in just eight permanent tented rooms. The whole camp has enormous view out over the surrounding river and plains.

The owners operate an excellent range of cool, well positioned and good value camps throughout these northern parks, notably Olduvai Camp, Grumeti Hills and Mawe Ninga Camp, so we fully anticipate that this place will be to the same standards.

It is open year round, but will be in highest demand start July to end October, when the main migration is expected to be within range and this is a major area for river crossings. At other times of year this is a wonderful peaceful backwater with strong resident wildlife.

Activities include daytime vehicle safari and balloon safari.

It is certainly a standout when it comes to value for money in this area, we anticipate rates climbing substantially in subsequent seasons.
