Maseru North

... is a region of Lesotho in South Africa.

The area between the major towns of Maseru and Leribe on the western flank of Lesotho is not of great interest, most guests tend to pass through rather fast.

The main route is the A1 highway, although there is an interesting back route between Maseru and Teya-Teyaneng which passes by the Kome cave village, where trogladites still live.

Teya-Teyaneng is best known as a craft centre and is the place to seek out woven products and wall hangings.

Maputsoe is an ugly town of little note other than its position at the border crossing to Ficksburg.

Beyond that we pass on to Leribe and the highlands of the North.
