McBride's Camp
is located in the Kafue area of northern Zambia.

Remotely set on the banks of the Kafue River, this extremely simple camp is home to the renowned wildlife writer Chris McBride, best known for his 1970's book 'The White Lions of Timbavati'. Chris is usually in camp, hosting and guiding guests himself.

McBride's Camp itself is rudimentary, the only reason that you would consider it is in order to spend time with Chris.

On the whole we tend to more often use either Kafue Hippo Lodge further downstream, both of which offer a greater level of facility.
