Mfuwe Lodge
is located in the Central Sector of South Luangwa National Park in eastern Zambia.

In an pretty lagoon-side position in the central part of South Luangwa National Park, this imposing eighteen room lodge offers reasonably stylish hotel-style accommodation and an unusual range of facilities including a gift shop, swimming pool and spa. The lodge is open year round and there is no minimum child age.

Activities are centred on vehicle safari, night vehicle safari and walking safari, with unusually reliable sightings of lions and leopards in particular. The lodge is best known for its local elephants, which have taken to regularly commuting right through the middle of the main building.

The main potential downsides are the fact that the lodge offers a less personable and intense safari experience, it is right in the middle of the higher traffic area, it is relatively expensive, the safari activities relatively mild, the potential for rain Nov/Apr and the extremely high temperatures in Oct/Nov.
