+ great pool
+ wide range of public areas
+ direct beach access
+ excellent wellness centre
+ wide range of activities are available
+ horse riding
+ surfing

Situated in the settlement of Morgan Bay, 50km north-east of East London, this well-known hotel was originally built in 1946 and is situated at the back of the beach in the centre of the settlement. The hotel is contained within one large slightly Art Deco building, containing the main public areas, 34 guest rooms, various leisure spaces and a small courtyard pool. A more recent addition is a modern annexe which contains a shop, restaurant, function rooms and spa.

- rather large property
- public using the same beach
- high visitor volume

Morgan Bay Hotel is perhaps the closest that this part of the coast gets to a real hotel and may be worth considering. Although the village location is pleasant enough, for our money it doesn't match up to the classic beach situations of other properties along this coast.
