Mosaic Lagoon Lodge
is located near Stanford in the Whale Coast area of the Western Cape in South Africa.

Pleasantly situated by the side of a large tidal lagoon back from the beaches of Walker Bay, this high quality lodge has just seven safari-style rooms and elegant public areas. Unusually meals are often taken at the nearby Spookhuis, which seems inconvenient, but is actually really pleasant.

On the estate guided activities include kayaking, trips down to the wild beaches of Walker Bay, walking, hiking and birding. Quad-biking may also be available.

Remarkably the area immediately around the lodge is a particular stronghold for caracals. This may come as a particularly pleasant surprise for those of you who have spent decades trying to get a glimpse of these elusive cats in more conventional safari locations across the continent.

Activities in the area include whale-watching from the land, by boat and even from the air (generally from Jun/Nov), shark-diving and walks on the remote beaches of Walker Bay.
