Mudumu and Mamili
are two relatively small wildlife reserves located in the heel of the Caprivi Strip in Namibia.

This part of the Caprivi Strip is traversed by the languid path of the Kwando River, which rises in Angola to the north, continues on south to the superb Linyanti Waterfront area of Botswana, before turning east and becoming the Chobe River.

The area feels is surprisingly remote, with wildlife reserves now occupying most of the lower leg and heel of the Caprivi Strip. There are some decent populations of wildlife, largely centred on the river and especially as one gets further away from the main highway.
