is located in the Kafue
area of northern Zambia
Set along the Kafue River just 2km south of the main sealed road and 10km from the bridge into the reserve, this relatively large and heavily built lodge serves mainly as a place to break the long road journey between Lusaka
and the more remote camps to the north and south.
The main central area leads out onto a large pool. Guest accommodation is in three categories ... tents, chalets and a family villa.
For vehicle safari guests first cross the river by boat in order to gain virtually exclusive access to an area rich in wildlife, notably lion, leopards, cheetahs and wild dogs. Motorboat and walking safari are also offered.
Mukambi Lodge may not be particularly remote, but it is a decent lodge to serve as a stopping-off place on the way to sister facility Busanga Plains Camp
