is situated on the east bank of the Shire River inside Liwonde National Park
in southern Malawi
Set around a small inlet into the main river, this camp is the most upmarket within the reserve. It comprises a simple thatched mess with modest swimming pool, plus just five rather nice guest tents accessed along a network of raised walkways.
The motorboat safari here is exceptional, often providing really high quality with elephants, hippos and crocodiles in particular. Other activities include vehicle safari, walking safari and visits to the local villages either on foot or by mountain bike.
The main downside is that , although Liwonde is Malawi's leading wildlife reserve, there is a distinct shortage of predators, the chances of seeing lions or cheetahs in particular are very low.SeasonsPricesTrips
