is located in the Ruaha
area in the southern
region of Tanzania
It is an excellent luxury lodge in a prime central position in Ruaha, one of the finest reserves in Africa. It is a rare owner-hosted lodge, quirky, comfortable and stylish, with thirteen guest rooms and a deserved reputation for excellent safari guiding. The lodge is relatively easy to access by air.
Activities include vehicle safari and walking safari. Wildlife viewing is particularly strong during the Jun/Nov dry season, whilst the reserve remains a beautiful place to visit during the converse Dec/Mar green season.
The main potential downsides at Mwagusi Camp are that the lodge is relatively pricey, fly-in guests are often asked to share safari vehicles and there is the potential for minor traffic issues in core areas in high season. The reserve can get very hot during the dry season and tsetse flies can be a nuisance in some areas.UpsidesActivitiesDownsidesSeasonsPricesTrips
