is located in the Central Sector
of South Luangwa National Park
in eastern Zambia
In an unusually shady riverside position across from the central part of South Luangwa National Park, this small and relatively upmarket traditional camp offers hosting and guiding to very high standards. The camp is also open year round.
Activities are centred on vehicle safari and night vehicle safari, with lesser walking safari options. Access is direct into the park by pontoon across the river, where there are unusually reliable sightings of lions and leopards in particular. The small lagoon in the camp is a particularly good place to view elephants at close quarters.
The main potential downsides are the high prices, the fact that the lodge is outside the national park and in a relatively high traffic area, is of quite an old-fashioned design, the open nature of the rooms, the potential for rain Nov/Apr and the extremely high temperatures in Oct/Nov.UpsidesActivitiesDiningDownsidesSeasonsPricesTrips
