Okavango Duba Plains Concession
, also known as NG23 Kwedi, is a private safari area located to the north-west of the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana.

This relatively small but superb quality private safari area extends over 225 square kilometres and is is restricted to just 12 guests, providing a guest density of around 19 square kilometres per person, which is low.

The area is best known for its prolific lions, which unusually tend to hunt during daylight hours and, more often than not, prey on the large herds of buffaloes that inhabit these plains.

The safari experience here tends to be very much focussed on this rather gruesome main event, so the area is best avoided if you are not particularly interested in hard-hitting lion action.

Other wildlife in the area tends to take something of a back seat, but we have also had some notable sightings of breeding herds of elephants and hyenas at den.
