Okavango Santawani Concession
, also known as NG33
, is a private safari area located to the northeast of the Okavango Delta
in northern Botswana
This private concession covers around 710 square kilometres to the west of the main north-south route through the area and traversed by the road to the South Gate of Moremi National Park.
For the most part it is comprised mainly of dry mopane woodland, but in the south-west corner there is some modest seasonal water frontage and stands of hardwood forests.
The main potential downsides are the unreliable wildlife sightings, high potential for flood failure some years and the fact that there are no permanent accommodation options.
There is presently no accommodation in this area, although we are aware of two new camps which are presently under construction.
