is located in the Kruger North
area of Kruger National Park
in the Northeast
region of South Africa
Situated in riverine woodland on a large 240 square kilometre private concession bounded by the Levuvhu and Limpopo rivers in the extreme northeast of the Kruger, this lovely camp has open-sided thatched public areas around a pool and 20 guest tents arranged along the riverbank. There is definitely a heightened sense of wilderness this far north. Service levels are high and prices are extremely keen.
Activities are centred on vehicle safari, walking safari, dramatic mountain hiking, visits to stone age sites and to contemporary Makuleke villages.
The main potential downsides are the difficulty and cost of access, the fact the the wildlife is not usually as intense as further south in Kruger and the potential for adverse weather conditions Nov/Mar. Also, as with almost all the lodges in this area, different groups of guests are joined together on safari activities, unless you pre-book a private vehicle at significant additional cost.SeasonsPrices
