Prana Lodge

... is located in the Wild Coast region in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

+ beach front plot
+ situated within the forest
+ superb ocean views
+ quiet settlement
+ individually themed rooms
+ luxurious public areas
+ great pool
+ excellent food
+ wellness spa
+ direct beach access
+ low visitor volume

Set in coastal forest back from a stunning beach near the village of Cintsa East, this lodge was opened in 2012 and is widely recognised as being one of the very best options on this stretch of the coast.

Passing through the main reception, a pathway leads through the forest to the main bar, lounge and dining building, with a nice pool out front. The seven rooms are also tucked away amongst the trees. The rooms are all similar and all lovely, but the Forest Suite pictured here is slightly lower cost. Down at the beach there is a little deck area for lunches.

Activities in the area include hiking, tennis, kite-surfing and to a lesser extent surfing and diving.

- public using the same beach
- conference rooms aimed at business clients

Prana Lodge is a really lovely little beach place, just a couple of hours east of a couple of the Eastern Cape's better wildlife reserves, but worth the extra journey. The only real downside is the presence of the larger Crawford's Lodge next door, but the level of disturbance is minimal.
