Protea Hotel Burning Shore
is located in the town of Walvis Bay in the Western region of Namibia.

Actually set in the "toy-town" development of Landstrand, some 15km north of the town and roughly half way to Swakopmund, this place hit the headlines when it bizarrely became the spot in which Brad and Angelina decided to stay whilst having their first child.

It is a relatively commercial and quite upmarket place, typical of an area of such rampant development.

On the first floor there are five luxury suites, one of which even has a jacussi, whilst downstairs there is an extremely comfortable lounge and dining area and a nice little garden.

Although it is a comfortable and reliable option, we rarely find occasion to include Burning Shore in a trip, our guests usually preferring to use a base in nearby Swakopmund.
