Rostock Ritz Desert Lodge
is located in the North Namib
in the Southwest
region of Namibia
Set in some stunning desert scenery to the south of the Kuiseb Canyon, this conceptually interesting lodge has rather funky organic-shaped public areas containing a pleasant restaurant, with some rather tame hyraxes. Rooms take the form of stone igloos, although unfortunately they are all divided into two rather gloomy semi-detached units.
The vast majority of travellers on this road prefer to complete the Sossusvlei
drive in a single day. So whilst the restaurant can develop quite a buzz at lunchtime, overnight guests are rather more thin on the ground and evenings can be quiet.
The main reason to stay at Rostock Ritz Desert Lodge is to enjoy nature drives and walks in the area made famous in the classic book "The Sheltering Desert", although this tends to appeal more to experienced Namibia visitors.SeasonsPrices
