Sabi Sabi Selati Camp
is located in Sabi Sand South
in the Kruger Private Reserves
area in the Northeast
of South Africa
Situated above a small seasonal tributary of the Sabi River and with lovely views out over open plains, Sabi Sabi Selati Camp takes its traditional theme from an old gold-mining railway track which used to run close by. Pleasant open-sided public areas lead out to broad decks and on to a modest swimming pool. Guest accommodation is in eight individually themed suites ranged around the grounds.
Activities are centred on vehicle safari and walking safari, with wildlife viewing in this Sabi Sand South area being very reliable year round. The lodge has traversing rights over around 35 square kilometres. Spa facilities are a drive away at Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge
The main potential downsides are the slightly old fashioned and heavy build. There is the potential for adverse weather conditions Nov/Mar. Also, as with almost all the lodges in this area, different groups of guests are joined together on safari activities, unless you pre-book a private vehicle at significant additional cost.
In Sabi Sand South the presence of overhead telephone cables and road signs does detract significantly from the sense of wilderness, but that is true of almost all of Kruger. The safari area also lacks frontage onto the nearby Sabi River. SeasonsPrices
