Sandarusi House
is located in the Tiwi Beach area of the Kenya Coast.

Situated around 15km south of Mombasa, Tiwi is a very pleasant stretch of white sand beach which is separated by a small creek from the much busier and better known Diani Beach and remains a relatively quiet backwater.

Built high on a coral cliff above a beautiful beach. this Swahili style house has been in the Low family for generations. It comprises a lovely double height lounge and dining area, with guest accommodation in six suite rooms. The extensive gardens contain a decent swimming pool, leading down to a lovely beach. Essentially self-catering, the house comes with a full complement of staff including cook, askari and cleaner.

Activities in the area include walking around the villages, snorkelling, paddle-boarding, body boarding and kayaking. Day trips further afield are available for excellent diving, snorkelling and swimming with dolphins in the Kisite Marine Reserve to the south, plus golf. kite-surfing, wind-surfing, sky-diving and other such facilities in the Diani Beach area to the south.

The main potential downsides are that the house and the hosting are both very simple, making it is best suited to more experienced and independent Africa travellers who will be able to take control of arranging activities with providers around the village and beyond.
