Sindabezi Island

... is located in the Livingstone area of southern Zambia.

Situated in the middle of the Zambezi river around 18km upstream from the Victoria Falls, this tiny five room lodge is a truly delightful and peaceful place.

With the simplicity and intimacy of the most basic bushcamp, there is no electricity and the staff are a tight knit bunch who are quick to make friends with the guests.

Activities around the lodge include motorboat safari and canoe safari, as well as fishing.

Activities further afield are a little more difficult to access but can be arranged. These include visits to the falls themselves, a picnic on Livingstone Island including a swim in the Devil's Pool on the lip of the cascade, white-water rafting and jetboating in the canyon below, bungee jumping and gorge swinging, elephant riding, walking with lions, town tours including the railway museum and scenic flights in a light aircraft, helicopter or microlight.
