Songwe Point Lodge

... is located in the Livingstone area of southern Zambia.

In a spectacular location on a promontory overlooking the Zambezi Gorge, this lodge burned down in Sept 2008 and we are unaware of any plans to rebuilt at present.

There used to be a small museum on the next promontory upstream, showcasing a collection of stone tools from the site. It is still possible to find ancient stone hand-axes lying around.
