Speke Bay Lodge
is located in the Western Sector
of the Serengeti
in Northern Tanzania
This pleasant medium specification lodge is situated on the shores of Lake Victoria and is most often used as a stopover for people passing between Maasai Mara and Serengeti overland. It is comfortable and reasonably stylish, with a laid-back beach-front atmosphere. Activities include cultural interaction, motorboat trips, fishing, guided walking and mountain-biking.
The main potential downsides are the fact that lodge is located outside the Serengeti, it offers relatively simple levels of service, there is no swimming in the lake and the area is exposed to lake flies. The lodge is rarely used these days due to flying alternative on this route.UpsidesDownsidesSeasonsPricesTrips
